Hi Shark Families,

Here are a few important updates for this week and as we head into Memorial Day weekend. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the practice schedule next week, as it varies due to the holiday, events at the pool and the last day of school.

Upcoming Dates:

• Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day) - NO PRACTICE
• Tuesday, May 27 - NO PRACTICE
• Wednesday, May 28 - Last After School Practice
• Thursday, May 29 - NO PRACTICE
• Friday, May 30 - Morning Practice Begins
• Saturday, May 31 - PRACTICE MEET / TIME TRIALS

Practice Meet / Time Trials

The practice meet will be held on Saturday, May 31. This is one of the most important dates during our season, as it is the first opportunity to collect swimmers' times for future swim meets, give swimmers and volunteers and opportunity to run through an actual meet and prepare us for the fast few weeks ahead. Please make every effort to attend so that your swimmer will have times. Warmups begin at 7am, and the meet will kick-off 8am. We hope to be wrapped up by 10:30am.

Meet Entry

VERY IMPORTANT! Please let us know which meets your child will be attending by "opting-in" or "opting-out" via the green MEET ENTRY button next to each swim meet in the Calendar page of the website. You will need to do this for all four meets of the season, as well as the practice meet. The deadline to Opt-in for the practice meet is this Saturday, May 24.

The deadline to opt-in for the remaining swim meets of the season is May 31. If you do not opt-in your child for a meet, they will not be seeded into heats and may not be able to participate.

Merchandise Pickup

Team swim caps, athlete shirts and any merchandise you ordered is packaged up and ready for pickup at 14322 Carolcrest Dr. daily until 8pm. Please stop by as soon as possible THIS WEEK to pick up your items. 

Baby Pool Use / Umbrellas / Facilities & Pool Deck

Use of the baby pool will be permitted for young siblings of Shark swimmers ONLY during 6 & up age-group practices and ONLY for members who have their pool tags. Parents must supervise their children at all times. As always, Shark swimmers are NOT ALLOWED in the baby pool at any time. For everyone's safety, we also please ask that you do not allow children in the baby pool during Shark Swim School practices. The baby pool is NOT open during swim meets.

We have had some windy conditions lately - please help us by lowering umbrellas when not in use.
